Dress for Success Washington, DC’s Suiting Program provides professional attire and styling advice to women who are actively trying to re-enter the workforce. The program is so much more than a dress; indeed, it can truly be a transformative experience. A client receives both the clothing to dress for success, as well as support from our team of volunteer stylists to ensure she believes in herself, possesses confidence, and secures meaningful employment.
Clients come to us from our referral partners. Upon referral, we often first meet our clients with a job interview already scheduled. Each woman is paired with a volunteer stylist to select clothing that reflects the client’s needs and personal style. At the end of the appointment, she receives a formal outfit and can participate in our other career programs.
Once a client has successfully obtained employment with our support, they again meet with a stylist to select a week’s worth of outfits for a professional wardrobe. At this point, she has “graduated” from our career programs and is invited to our Professional Women’s Group.
